Hillsboro - Ared C. Hutson, 67, Veedersburg retired farmer and former state highway department employee died Monday night in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. Born April 11, 1907, near Wallace, he was a son of William and Farah (sic - Sarah) Thomas Hutson. He married Bernice McManomy of Covington Nov 8, 1930. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Robert W. of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Calder of Lizton; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Ratcliff of Hillsboro and Mrs. Sylvia Spragg of Kingman; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and two half sisters. Services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro with Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday - kbz

  Veedersburg, Ind.—Ared C. Huston, 67, of Veedersburg Route 1, died about 10 p.m. Monday April 16, 1973 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, Ill.
  He was a life resident of Fountain County and attended school at Wallace. He was a retired farmer and state highway department employee.
  He was born April 11, 1907 near Wallace, a son of William and Sarah Thomas Hutson. On Nov. 8, 1930, he married Bernice McManomy, who survives.
  Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Calder, Lizton, Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Ratcliff of Hillsboro Route 1, and Mrs. Sylvia Spraggs of Kingman; seven grandchildren and a great grandchild.
  He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, and two half-brothers.
  Services were 2:30 p.m. EST Thursday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with the Rev. Alfred Dobbs officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery at Veedersburg. – thanks, S
